Since January 2019, I collaborate as freelance designer and illustrator with several private clinics part of the Swiss Medical Network Group. Beside daily graphic design to create branded print assets, I had the chance to work on challenging and exciting projects spanning from educational material to bespoke illustrations.
For Clinique Valmont, I created a series of hand-drawn digital illustrations highlighting their picturesque location in a way that evolves with the seasons and special occasions.
The initial artwork was designed for their Christmas card and inspired by a photograph of the clinic. Following the client’s vision, the building had to have a prominent position, being surrounded by mountains, and overlook Lac Léman and the city of Lausanne. The train winding through the winter landscape adds a charming, festive touch to the composition.
Several months later, the illustration underwent a transformation for a spring setting. I replaced the snow with vibrant greenery and a soft pastel sky, creating a fresh, lively atmosphere while preserving the key elements that defined the original scene.
A year later, to celebrate Clinique Valmont’s 120th anniversary and to refresh their Christmas card, the illustration was entirely reimagined for a night-time ambiance. This version features a glowing, starry sky, and a sense of quiet elegance, capturing the magic of a winter evening.
Each version retains the essence of the clinic while showcasing its beauty through distinctive seasonal and thematic atmospheres.
